Alcohol & Other Drugs

The Student Wellness Center empowers UT Dallas students make well informed decisions regarding alcohol and drug use through educational programs, presentations and consultations.

We offer alcohol and drug educational programs, presentations to classes and student organizations and one-on-one consultations. Alcohol intervention and education sessions are available to students referred from the office of Community Standards and Conduct, Residential Life or by self-referrals.

Students in need of recovery services related to alcohol or drug addiction are referred to the Center for Students in Recovery.

BASICS

BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention of College Students) is an educational program that is designed to help students make better alcohol-use decisions.

eCheckup TO GO - Marijuana (eToke)

The eToke program is a personalized, confidential and evidence- based self-assessment that provides you with detailed information about:

  • Your marijuana usage patterns
  • Your potential health and personal consequences
  • Your personal and family risk factors
  • Your campus resources

The 2022 UT Dallas Biennial Review addresses campus efforts in place to satisfy federal legislation regarding the prevention of alcohol and drug use and abuse.

Students new to UT Dallas are required to take online education courses related to sexual assault prevention and alcohol education.
